Musebox AI studio credits: account for the whole project

A project ledger includes source preparation, attempts, continuations and delivery work instead of only the final accepted clip.

Create distinct cost rows

A project may involve different actions. Record each displayed charge with its purpose: an initial piece, a continuation, a replacement or another enabled feature. Do not assume those actions have the same billing unit.

Musebox’s guide describes a credit-based model and an API offering. Current account allowances, rate limits and transaction details require live verification; this handbook does not publish a fixed tariff.

Use a project example

Consider an invented ledger: 40 units for an initial piece, 30 for a continuation and 40 for a rejected replacement. The total is 110 units, even if the final sequence uses only the first two pieces. The 40-unit rejection still belongs to the project cost.

If the sequence is not accepted at all, keep the total and mark the deliverable as unaccepted. A calculation of zero cost per final piece would obscure the actual spend.

Separate generation cost from production time

A low unit charge can coexist with a large amount of review and editing. Keep a time column for setup, output inspection and delivery. The combined record helps explain why two workflows with similar credit totals may feel very different.

Do not convert time into a universal monetary rate unless your project has a real basis for that number. A personal evaluation and a client production schedule have different accounting needs.

Decide the next action deliberately

Before another attempt, state what you expect to learn or correct. If repeated attempts change several conditions together, the ledger may grow without producing a clearer comparison.

Check recurring payments and unused credit conditions separately from this project arithmetic. The useful budget is the one that describes your actual account and sets a boundary you can follow.

Project costs follow the decisions made along the way. Keep rejected work visible instead of accounting only for the final files.
